Black Malleable Iron Nipples

This BSN12512 is a 1/2" x 5-1/2" Black Malleable Iron Nipple with two male-threaded connections. This fitting allows the user to connect two fittings that are close to each other. This eliminates the need to thread both ends of a short piece of piping, which saves time and, potentially, money! Installation of this black iron nipple is simple, as it does not require any welding or soldering. An inexpensive thread sealant will be required for a watertight seal. Black iron is resistant to pressure, heat, and corrosion, so it is most often found in gas and oil systems.
